Day # 3
Rambo, Terminator, Chuck Norris, and Hombre Viejo (old man) our Honduran
co-workers on the construction crew have given most of us nick names. Today's total; 50 ninety pound bags of cement (4,500 lbs) + 90 wheel barrows of mix (8,100 lbs) + 400 gallons of water (3300 lbs) and about two tons of rocks = approximately 10 tons of material moved and one muy cansado hombre viejo (very tired old man) - I won't speak for the rest of the team. I was getting very good at carting the empty buckets at the end of the day.
Didn't turn any patients away at the clinic today. It's sad to hear of the illness that would be a challenge at any metropolitan American hospital. But the team served all the patients love, care, and prayer.
Fantastic church service tonight. 7 young men from the construction crew came to worship with us. James did a great job of sharing the Word and how he see's it applying to his life. Lucinda shared wonderful words of love for our brothers and sisters in Christ who live in Honduras. Jim shared with everyone a Christ centered perspective on relationships and Matt gave a great message about marriage.
Looking forward to football with the local championship team tomorrow
- more trouble for an old man. Praise The Lord!
