THOUGHT FOR TODAY: I woke up a couple of days ago with trouble on my mind. I really didn't feel like praying about it, probably because much of the trouble was my fault. What I really felt like doing was just sort of disconnect, drop back, and wait for things to settle down. I guess that's a natural inclination; but it occurred to me that under such circumstances, deciding not to pray is the worst thing we could do. In a situation like that things are in disarray, there is great confusion, and we are very vulnerable. This is a welcome sight for our enemy; he is always looking for ways to make things worse. So much the better to pray and get back under the umbrella of God's protection.
