THOUGHT FOR TODAY: How strong is the fear of change? Strong enough to lead some believers to spend the best years of their lives in a job that really doesn’t bring contentment.
I forgot to mention that Marcos, our night guard, called a couple of days ago to inquire about what I plan to do with the red van. At this point, my thoughts are to have it taken to Campana near our house, and see if Dennis can do the repair work. Marcos still insists that he wants to buy it…. Jenny and Marco were here for dinner last night, and then all of us went to the Grace Fellowship campus to watch fireworks. Tonight, we were invited to the Hagan’s for a Fourth of July celebration. There were several other families there from Owasso Bible Church and it was a really great evening. Tom put on a spectacular fireworks display. Tomorrow is my last day here so it will be a full day.
THOUGHT FOR TODAY: How strong is the fear of change? Strong enough to lead some believers to spend the best years of their lives in a job that really doesn’t bring contentment. The money we transferred from the bank here to the one in Cortes arrived yesterday. Nicolas made a deposit in Junior’s account so he could pay for his conference in Houston; he was most grateful. There is now just one more business day before I leave for Honduras. Today I worked on taxes, FAFSA, the boy’s financial aid, repairs, bills to pay, etc. Tonight we had dinner with a special family from First Methodist…. We are in the process of lining up Kayla and Lourdes to help while the teams are with us.
