Day # 1
Today was our first day of work for both the medial team and
construction team. We hit the ground running, overcoming every obstacle
placed on our path. Both teams were challenged in different ways, and
both succeeded. Dan gave his testimony to all the Honduran construction
workers, and it was clear that God was working through his words to
touch the hearts of the young men that quickly became acquainted with
our team. On the medical side, approximately 65 patients were examined
today, and 65 people received not only medicine and loving care from
both Dr. Wendy and Dr. Green, but they received love from brothers and
sisters who genuinely cared for them. God's love illuminated through our
bilingual hugs and smiles, confusing gestures, and Spanglish
conversation. God is seen through the love that surrounds this safe
haven in Honduras, and it is felt even in the cool breeze that refreshes
our exhausted, yet satisfied bodies. He has great things in store for
Honduras this week. Jim Pile
