Friday we took Oscar to get his stitches out. The doctor said everything looks fine and he doesn’t need to return unless there’s a problem. As you can imagine, Oscar is very thankful for all those who donated toward his surgery. I mentioned before that we had $24 left over after paying the hospital, doctors, etc. I learned later that he had to borrow 504 lempiras ($25.85) for medication. After reimbursing him for that, the amount donated was almost exactly the amount of the expenses. Our son Jeffrey spent his fall break with us and left Saturday to return to Tulsa. Also Saturday, we had a service out in the campo lowlands. We had singing; Clarence brought the message, and Gary and Nicolas shared. Attendance is small but we are grateful for those who do come.
